CAIRO, EGYPT - February 10th, 2019 - Endeavor Egypt welcomes Mounir Nakhla, CEO of Halan and Ahmed Sabbah, Mahmoud Nouh and Mostafa Kandil, Co-Founders of SWVL, to its network of High Impact Entrepreneurs.
Halan is a ride sharing app focusing on tuktuks, motorcycles and tricycles and targeting those living in underdeveloped rural areas with a lack of public transport and low purchasing power. SWVL is an app-based transportation system which allows riders heading in the same direction to share a fixed-route through bus trips for a flat rate. Both Halan and SWVL provide Egyptians with a reliable, affordable means of transportation; bridging the gap between unreliable and inconvenient public transport and expensive ride services.
Nakhla, Sabbah, Nouh and Kandil were among 32 Entrepreneurs leading 17 companies from 13 markets selected at Endeavor's 85th International Selection Panel (ISP) held February 6th - 8th in San Francisco, California and hosted by Endeavor Global. The 85th ISP gathered panelists, who are top business leaders and investors from Endeavor’s extensive network of board members, mentors and supporters, from around the world to interview candidate entrepreneurs and evaluate them on their high-impact growth potential.
