Endeavor Network Convenes at RiseUp Summit 2017
More than 5000 entrepreneurs, investors, mentors, media professionals and ecosystem partners from all over the world convened in Cairo, Egypt on December 1-3, 2017 for the annual RiseUp Summit 2017, MENA region’s largest entrepreneurial event co-organized by Endeavor Egypt and other key entrepreneurship ecosystem enablers aiming to connect entrepreneurs and startups to resources that will help them grow and support their businesses.
As a founding partner and key organizer, Endeavor Egypt led an array of scale up talks, workshops and panels for the fifth year in a row featuring its network of high-impact Entrepreneurs, Mentors, board members and partners in RiseUp’s Capital and Tech tracks to share their expertise and know-how.
Revolving around the summit’s theme of Improving the Human Experience, Endeavor Egypt’s content showcased the innovative work of tech-based companies of Endeavor Entrepreneurs in various industries, highlighted best practices behind successful scale up companies and emphasized on the importance of giveback in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Topics ranged from the future of edtech and healthtech industries, business transformations, scaling tech companies, creating company culture, catalyzing growth for scale ups and high-impact mentorship.
In addition to Endeavor Egypt’s local network of leading experts at the Summit, Endeavor Catalyst Managing Director Allen Taylor, Endeavor Colombia Entrepreneur and Platzi CEO Freddy Vega, and Endeavor Jordan Mentor and Vezeeta General Manager of Levant and Gulf States Rami Adwan participated in panels in both tracks.
Alongside the Summit, RiseUp also launched the first HIPO program, a flagship program designed exhibit and accelerate the impact of 20 of MENA’s most disruptive, High-Potential growth startups. Of the 20 HIPO companies participating in the program, ten are led by Endeavor Entrepreneurs from Egypt and the region: Vezeeta (Egypt), Eventtus and Si-Ware Systems, Paytabs (Saudi Arabia), Anghami (Lebanon), scriptr.io (Lebanon), Fetchr (UAE), Mumzworld (UAE), Reserveout (Jordan), and Kharabeesh (Jordan). HIPO companies gained exclusive access to investor network events, connections with media anchors, one-on-one networking with mentors and business leaders, pools of talent for hire, and more.
